HEN Elie Wiesel, author of
36 books, praises a book, attention must be paid. The Nobel
laureate hosted a party for the launch of Michael Alexiadesís
Night Harvest, saying that "all those who love medical
thrillers will find in Michael Alexiadesís first novel a source
of great pleasure and satisfaction."
Alexiades writes about what he knows.
He is an attending orthopedic surgeon at three of New Yorkís top
hospitals: Special Surgery, Weill-Cornell Medical Center and
Lenox Hill. He is also an assistant professor of orthopedic
surgery at Cornell Medical School. .

When it came to reading a selection
from the thriller, Alexiades nodded to his literary agent,
Marianne Strong, and said, "She advised me to read something
provocative." And he did. But every time came to the "f" word he
apologized. "My parents are here," he said.
