HE 4th annual Fete de Swifty, a creation by Liz Smith to raise money for the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, has been rated No.1 by Charity Navigator out of 5,000 nonprofit organizations evaluated across the country.
This year’s event in a tony tent on the Upper East Side raised more than $800,000.
The honorary chairs were Nicole Kidman and Ali and Joe Torre served as honorary chairs. Other chairs and committee members included John Castle, J. Christopher Daly, Bill Rondina, Christine and Stephen Schwarzman, Rob Speyer, Zibby and Andrew Right, David Patrick Columbia, Stephen Attoe and Robert Caravaggi (owners of The Fete's namesake restaurant), Gillian Miniter, Christopher Meigher, Peter Rogers and Elizabeth Finkle Sans.
