HAMPTONS FILM FESTIVAL
Festival Kickoff Turns Into
One Lively Party for Starks

By Edward T. Callaghan

OHN and Andrea Stark filled their spectacular penthouse with over 300 actors, directors and film enthusiasts to kickoff the Hamptons International Film Festival. The Starks, long involved with the festival, had a double reason to celebrate. Their son Austin’s latest work, Love/Death/Cobain, was featured in the festival lineup.

Co-hosting with the Starks were Ann and Keith Barish, Denise and Larry Wohl, Sharyn and Stephen Mann, Patty Raynes and Debbie Bancroft.

Clearly it was the Junior Committee that ruled the guest list, shifting the age demographic considerably and making this one lively party.

Among the junior set happily munching on mini-cheeseburgers and pigs in blankets were Laurie & Austin Stark, Michelle & Chris Barish. Joseph Aaron Mann , Arden Wohl, Amanda Hearst, Marissa Bregman, Bingo Gubelman, Lola Schnabel and Nicholas Raynes.

Sparkling plenty and drawing admiring glances were fashion designer Rachel Roy and Carmen Chaplin, who stars in the film Day on Fire. Roy is officially dressing the young contenders in the Rising Star Awards so there’ll be plenty of sizzle on the red carpet this year.

Savoring the magnificent views from the terrace were Beverly Camhe, Pamela Morgan, actor Ned Beatty with wife Sandra, fashion designer Douglas Hannant and partner Fredrick Anderson, Michele Herbert, Jane and Joe Pontarelli, ultimate fashion icon Iris Apfel and husband Carl, Caroline Hirsch and Andrew Fox, Carol Press NS Jeff Furman, and Judy and Rod Gilbert.
