Rainbow Room Luncheon
Honors Notable Women Story & Photos by Tim Boxer  E MADE the right choice when Dr. Theodore Miller, president of Israel Cancer Research Fund, invited Graziano de Boni to present an award at the ICRF Women of Action Luncheon at the Rainbow Room in New York.
After all, de Boni is president and chief executive of Valentino, known for making smart women look beautiful. De Boni presented an award to Melissa Cohen, owner of Manhattan Mortgage, the premier residential mortgage company in the country. Susan Isaacs and Dr. Lisa Young also got awards. Author of 10 books, Isaacs proudly announced that her daughter Elizabeth is engaged. She also said her husband, Elkan Abramowitz, was named by New York magazine as one of the best lawyers in the land. Susan and Elkan already have two grandchildren, courtesy of son Andrew and daughter-in-law. Dr. Young, a nutrition consultant, autographed copies of her book, The Portion Teller: Smartsize Your Way to Permanent Weight Loss. "Eating healthy," she said, "isn’t about cutting out food, but cutting down portions. If I’m asked what sandwich is healthy, I say half a sandwich." |
