Everyone was there – Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Janice Combs, Star Jones – all the usual suspects. Legend was so thrilled to be feted in such a magnificent apartment. These Denise Rich soirees are the must-attends in the music world. An invitation is gold, and to be the guest of honor – well, that's pure platinum. If you're counting, Legend went home with three Grammys. Not bad for a first time at bat! Then again, he's no "ordinary person." |

But Donatella Versace's private invitation reopening party for her Fifth Avenue store is it! From the two lines of paparazzi and NYers on the sideline, to the paparazzi and TV lights on the inside, to the swarms of celebrities in the store, this was the party to attend. Beautiful, elegant, and somewhat chilled by the cold night air, Donatella was escorted everywhere by the ever elegant Rupert Everett. Then came the stars to pay homage - Halle Berry and her delicious new love Gabriel Aubry, Kate Hudson, Oscar nominee and very, very pregnant Rachel Weisz, Cindy Crawford and hubby Randy Gerber who have lost none of their gorgeousness, a slender Harvey Weinstein, in-and-out Graydon Carter, hip hop mogul Damon Dash and beautiful designer wife Rachel Ray, on and on into the shout-filled night. You just had to be there, and in the camera sights/sites of the beautiful man about Manhattan, photographer Patrick McMullan, who took these luscious photos. |
