Also enjoying the skiing were designers Richard Mishaan and Carolyne Roehm, socialites Liz and Damon Mezzacappa, Anne Bass, Laura Hunt, and Patricia Duff with her daughter Caleigh Perelman; David and Julia Koch with brother Bill Koch and his fiancée Bridgette Rooney, Disney’s Michaels Eisner; The Mets’ Mike Piazza; Saudi Arabia’s Prince Bandar; scribes R. Couri Hay, Michael Conniff and Janet O’Grady; tennis star Monica Selles; and comedians David Spade and Carrot Top. Clean and sober fun seemed to be the new fad. Just ask Robert Downey, Jr. or Diana Ross who was there with her two teenage sons. One of the highlights of the season was a reception at the chic Prada store on Galena Street followed by a private dinner at Harley Baldwin’s wonderful Caribou Club. Among the guests sitting around the fire and listening to André Leon Talley – dressed in a full-length Russian ermine coat – read from his book, ALT: A Memoir, were Sex And The City’s Kristin Davis and Grace Naughton; MSNBC news hunk Dan Abrams; Natalie Cole and her son Robert Adam Yancy; financial crisis guru Richard Torrenzano; Nicole Miller and Denise Rich. Also philanthropist Melva Bucksbaum; Kent Crown, the grandson of Lester and Renee Crown, who own the Aspen Ski Corp and the Aspen Mountain Club; Lauren King of King’s World; Ted Turner's son Beau Turner with his wife Gannon; Fernanda Niven; Jodi Guber; Ashley Schiff; Bergdorf Goodman’s Engelbert DeCastro; Gucci’s Domenico DeSole; Fendi’s Robert King and Francois Kress.
