Saks Fifth Avenue Kicks Off
For Cancer Center Gala By Roger Webster  RAFF Jewelers and Saks Fifth Avenue rolled out the red carpet at the posh New York department store for a Champagne Veuve Clicquot reception for the gala 15th Annual Preview Party for the International Fine Arts and Antique Dealers Show benefiting the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
In attendance were newly elected Society president Coco Kopelman with her husband Arie Kopelman, who exclaimed, “It's the first time I’ve been dragged to anything. For years I've been dragging her.” Others admiring the fabulous baubles in the showcases were co-chairs Jamee Gregory and Leslie Jones, Graff president Henri Barguirdjian, Saks vice chairman Steven Sadove and wife Karin, Susan Burke, Daisy Soros, Jennifer Creel, Karen LeFrak, Whitney Fairchild, Debbie Bancroft, Chris Meigher, Dr. Annette Rickel, R. Couri Hay, Hilary Dick, Courtney Arnot, Susan Bodnar, Sallie Giordano, Dennis Basso and Michael Cominotto, Anne Grauso, Stephanie Griswold, Andrew and Leslie Heaney, Jacques Nordeman, Alexis Waller, Mary Davidson, Tom Guinzburg, Jackie Weld, Clelia and Tom Zacharias, and interior designers Mark Epstein and Joanne de Guardiola. Also Alexandra Lind Rose, Jill Tanen, Suzie Fairchild, Christina Oxenberg, Tory Burch, Andrea Stark, New York Times scribe Corey Kilgannon, Bettina Zilkha, Michele Gerber Klein, Fabian Basabe and the beautiful daughter of Patty Hearst, Gillian Hearst-Shaw, who glowed when she tried on a Graff 29-carat, heart-shaped diamond necklace worth $5 million. |
