Stewart Lane and Marty Richards | Susie Castillo, Miss USA | Alec Baldwin and Nicole Seidel | Billy Joel and Kim Catrall | If Not New York, Then The Hamptons HOSE New Yorkers not in Monte Carlo, Rome, Paris or Madrid, spent summer in the the Hamptons, where a great time is had by all! Because there are so many parties, I’m going to tell you about a couple. There’s the Bay Street Theatre benefit. Everyone who loves the theatre is out at this party. The theatre run by Emma Watson (daughter of legend Dame Julie Andrews) and Sybil Christopher (the first Mrs. Burton), has a worldwide reputation in the arts arena. On hand were producers Stewart Lane and Marty Richards (this year’s Academy Award Oscar winner for Chicago), Phil and Trish Smith of the Shubert Theatre, and Alec Baldwin and Nicole Seidel. Chicago’s director Rob Marshall was on hand taking kudos for this magical movie. Super Saturday is one of the greatest flea markets in the world, where one day every major fashion designer and accessories maker donate all their clothing to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. It’s in a Hamptons field, and everyone who loves a bargain comes out. This year’s Miss USA, Susie Castillo, was on hand for the celebrations and former supermodel and still glorious Christie Brinkley joined the fun. If it’s The Hamptons it must be the Mercedes Benz Polo Matches (though no one would know because no one watches!). The action is under the tents, and there Kim Cattrall of Sex and The City fame, and the Piano Man himself, Billy Joel, relaxed for the occasion. |
