DESTINATION ASPEN Colorado Getaway Fashionable As Ever By Roger Webster SPEN was as fashionable as ever over the holidays. Fur designer Dennis Basso hosted a grand opening party for his Aspen Colorado boutique in the Little Nell Hotel. Guests included Barry Diller, baseball great Barry Bonds and his wife Liz, Wendy Stark, New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg and Bonnie Englebardt, Alexandre von Furstenberg, Ivana Trump and Rossano Rubicondi, Michelle and Larry Herbert, R. Couri Hay, Steve Benson, Kim Hunter, Michael Comonato, Robert Wagner and Jill St. John, Patty Findley, John and Sabrina Georgiades, Anne and Andrew Tisch, and Marcie and Michael Warren. Across town the stars of Nicholas Nickleby, Charlie Hunnam and Anne Hathaway, hosted a benefit screening of their critically acclaimed movie. The evening started with cocktails at Prada and ended with a private dinner at the Caribou Club. Guests included Todd Meister, Prada’s Katherine Ross, Carineh Martin and Jennifer Dornfeld, Harley Baldwin, Lance and Hillary Miliken, Lulu de Kwiatkowski, Maria and Jay Snyder, Jodie and Elizabeth Guber, Daniella Rich, Philip Aarons, Terence Guerreiro, Sylvia Maggi, and Irving Berlin’s granddaughter Rachel Peters. The event raised a bundle for Aspen Filmfest, a nonprofit establishment that organizes the Aspen Film Festivals and has an educational outreach program designed to enhance young people’s appreciation of film. |
